Diffusion Type Gas detetctor Head- KD-12 Series

The KD-12 Series is a diffusion type gas detector head with built-in display, designed for fixed installation across industrial and hazardous-area environments. Rugged, compact, and lightweight, it is suited for use in petrochemical plants, steel industry, semiconductor fabrication, civil engineering and construction, electrical equipment manufacturing, environmental monitoring, agriculture and livestock facilities, boiler and furnace detection, transportation, and government/research institutions.

The series is explosion proof and water/dust proof to IP65 standards, with an easy sensor replacement design to minimize maintenance downtime. Multiple models are available, including HART and SIL2 compatible variants, as well as suction type configurations for specific installation needs.

Depending on the model, the KD-12 series detects a range of gases:

• KD-12A: Combustible gas, toxic gas (hot wire semiconductor sensor, ppm)
• KD-12B: Hydrogen, helium, carbon dioxide (combustion sensor, %LEL)
• KD-12C: Methane, carbon dioxide (thermal conductivity sensor, vol%)
• KD-12R: Carbon monoxide (NDIR sensor, ppm/%LEL/vol%)
• KD-12D: Hydrogen sulfide (electrochemical cell, ppm)
• KD-12D (O2 variant): Oxygen (galvanic cell, vol%)
• KD-12B-SIL: Combustible gas, toxic gas (combustion sensor, %LEL)
• KD-12AH/BH: Combustible gas (hot wire semiconductor/combustion sensor, ppm/%LEL)

The unit operates on 24 VDC power supply with 3W max power consumption, and provides a 4–20 mADC analog output signal along with a gas alarm contact output (one stage only) and non-latching type contact. HART Communication Protocol Rev. 7.5 is available as an option (except KD-12C).

Certified under CE marking, UKCA marking, ATEX, IECEx, UKEx, India Ex (PESO), Taiwan Ex (ITRI — KD-12A/B/C only), and Japan Ex (JPEx), the KD-12 series meets hazardous-area compliance requirements across multiple regulatory regions.
